Meet and greet Yale student entrepreneurs participating in the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute's Summer Fellowship Program. Plus mix and mingle with other entrepreneurs, alumni and investors. The Public Service/Social Justice Committee of the Yale Alumni Association of Metropolitan New York is proud to return to La Plaza Cultural Community Garden (one of the sites from the Yale Day of Service), where volunteers throughly enjoyed beautifying this gem in the East Village. We are now looking for 40 energetic volunteers to complete the work started by YALIES on the Day of Service last month. Afterwards, volunteers will enjoy a barbeque at the garden. YAAMNY Public Service and Social Justice Committee Meeting
We wish to invite everyone to the upcoming Public Service/Social Justice Meeting. We have many exciting projects and prospects as we try to build on the momentum we gained from the Yale Day of Service in May. Additionally, our social justice/juvenile justice project in collaboration with the very progressive Mayor Booker of Newark is currently underway and a preliminary task force has been formed. Our hope is to build a team of volunteers from diverse professions that will help transform Newark's Juvenile Justice System so that children have the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential.
